On 24–25 April, over 70 of our customers came together in Rome for the annual Skymetrix User Group. Here are our event highlights…

Another great turnout

Once again, this event was buzzing. We welcomed over 70 delegates from almost 30 airlines and aviation businesses, who all came together to collaborate, network, and learn about our product updates and roadmap.

Welcoming Rainmaker

For the first time, we welcomed colleagues and customers from Rainmaker, the crew cost management specialist that joined the Skymetrix family last year.

As well as giving all our delegates an overview of Rainmaker’s solutions and expertise, Rainmaker led a specific co-collaboration session, plus workshops on crew analytics and operations analytics, and its product roadmap and priorities.

It was fantastic to have the Rainmaker team on-board this year and we hope to see even more of their customers attend next year’s User Group.

Learning, networking and collaborating

We organized a packed agenda for the two days, which included: company and product line updates, co-collaboration sessions, networking and social time, as well as practical breakout sessions focused on getting the most from individual solutions.

Our personal highlights were:

  • The soft-launch of our next-generation platform (public launch coming soon!)
  • Productive co-collaboration sessions on new analytics, UX and crew cost features
  • Workshops on ReFuelEU and IATA’s Fuel Data Standards Group
  • A guided tour of Stadio di Domiziano (Piazza Navona), the UNESCO World Heritage Site, followed by dinner amidst its ancient archaeological wonders!
  • The keynote on ESG and how to prepare for it becoming part of your role in the next 18-24 months. (Thanks to Greg Borel from Net Zero management consultants, Ampersand Partners, for this insightful talk.)

Collaborating and co-developing with our customers is a key feature of our business, so events like this User Group are vitally important. If you didn’t manage to attend this year, we really hope to see you at next year’s User Group for more of the same!
