Happy 2025! As we all gear-up for another exciting year, we wanted to take this moment to briefly reflect on 2024 and give a glimpse of what’s coming for Skymetrix customers in 2025.
Goodbye 2024 — A record-breaking year
2024 was certainly a promising one for the industry as a whole, with capacity up by 6.4% (OAG), most markets ahead of pre-pandemic levels, and record profits for some airlines.
For the Skymetrix Group, 2024 was record-breaking! Here are some of our highlights:
- We signed over 8 major airlines — our most ever in one year. We now manage over $100 billion in costs for more than 130 airlines, across 5 continents. A warm welcome to all our new customers!
- The Skymetrix User Group in Rome was extra special. We gave a customer-only reveal of our next-generation platform, and for the first time, staff and customers from Rainmaker attended — the crew management specialist we acquired in 2023. And how good was that tour and dinner at the Stadio di Domiziano, a UNESCO World Heritage Site?
- Our A380 touched down at four big IATA events: Two Aviation Energy Forums, the Ground Handling Conference and the World Financial Symposium. It was fantastic to see so many of you there and to hear the latest industry news.
- We worked hard enhancing our existing solutions across the whole Skymetrix Group. This included: new features and functionality such as new modules, new APIs, localization and multi-language support; feature enhancements, such as advanced calculation engines and automations; improvements to Cloud, infrastructure and PaaS; change requests and extensive maintenance.
Coming in 2025...
Launch of our next-generation platform
We’ll be starting 2025 with a bang when we launch of our long-awaited next-generation platform at the end of January. Expect game-changing fuel and cost management features that will boost efficiency and profitability, including advanced data and contract management, seamless integration with airline systems, and predictive analytics and AI.

Skymetrix User Group 2025
This popular annual event for customers is back again, but this time we’re running it in two different locations — LA and Dubai — so our customers can choose the closest or most appealing location to them!
It’s an important event where customers across the whole Skymetrix Group can:
- share their views on our products and services
- hear the latest company and product news, and
- learn from other airlines and industry experts about all aspects of aviation cost management.

On-demand learning for Skymetrix solutions
This year we’re also launching our new online learning hub for customers. This will completely transform how airline teams develop knowledge and skills of our solutions.
It will offer on-demand trainings, courses and documentation for all Skymetrix products, plus wider industry and market information. By having access to complete, consistent training whenever and wherever they need it, users will be able to upskill and get value from our products faster, and airlines will reduce pressure on their internal trainers. This is going to skyrocket ROI!

Just like in 2024, you will find us at all the big industry events, starting with IATA’s Aviation Fuel Forum in Azerbaijan in May. We’re always keen to meet airlines and discuss your cost management challenges, from creating more accurate fuel budgets to staying on top of the latest airport and navigation tariffs.
